Iranian (Persian) Violin Lessons

Iranian Violin is a unique musical tradition that combines expressive melodies, rich ornamentation, and the modal system of Persian classical music.

Although Iranian and Classical Violin follow different musical styles, they share the same fundamental techniques at the beginner level. Students first build a solid foundation through structured methods such as Le Violon, along with note reading, music theory, rhythm training, and selected Persian melodies.

Students who choose the Iranian Violin path study traditional Persian repertoire through works by renowned masters such as Ruhollah Khaleghi and Abolhasan Saba, while developing authentic Persian bowing techniques, ornamentation, expressive phrasing, and a deep understanding of the Dastgah and Radif system.

By the end of the program, students are able to perform Persian classical repertoire with confidence and develop the musical skills needed to interpret this rich and expressive tradition.
