Privacy policy

This page explains what information this website keeps, why it keeps it, and the choices you have. The site is run by Mahshad Homaei, who also teaches the lessons.

Your account. When you sign up, the site keeps your name, your email address and your password (stored in a form that cannot be read back). Your profile may also hold a photo and your time zone.

Lessons and payments. The site keeps your bookings and lesson times, the lessons set for you and how you did, and any certificates awarded to you. Payment receipts you upload are stored privately and are seen only by you and your teacher.

Children. Many students are under 18. A parent or guardian should create the account or agree to it, and can ask at any time to see, correct or delete the child's information.

Who sees it. Your information is used only to run your lessons. It is never sold or shared for advertising. Emails from the site are sent through Google's mail service.

Your rights. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information using the contact details on the About page.

Cookies

The site always uses two small cookies it needs in order to work: one keeps you signed in, and one stops other websites from submitting forms in your name. They are not used for tracking.

Only if you agree, the site also uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies whose names start with “_ga”. They let Google count visits so the site can see which pages are useful; only totals are shown, never who you are. Nothing is set until you click Accept, and declining later deletes them. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the foot of every page.

Your choice itself is remembered for six months in a cookie called “analytics_consent”.
